Williamson County and Cities Health District Social Services YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO WITHOUT YOUR MEDICATIONS! Rx Access is a pharmaceutical assistance program for eligible Williamson County residents who need help in obtaining prescription medications. How can I receive Rx Access services? Call the Williamson County & Cities Health District's Social Services office at 512-248-3252 or 1-800-890-6296 and ask to speak with a case worker. How do I know if I qualify for this program? The case worker will review your needs and determine if you are eligible for this program or if another resource is available. As you explain your medication needs, be prepared to provide information about your personal, medical, and financial state. The program is specifically designed to help those who are uninsured or under-insured who have no means to pay for prescriptions: It will also not assist those who have, or qualify for, prescription insurance, government assistance (such as Medicaid), or any other sources of prescription funding. Medicare recipients may qualify. Will I have to pay a fee to participate in this program? N0. Rx Access charges no fees. Some pharmaceutical manufacturers fo charge a small co-pay for their medications, usually for dispensing the medication at a pharmacy or for shipping and handling. If so, you will be notified in advance. What medications can I get? Rx Access provides assistance only for TDA-approved, prescribed medications. No assistance will be provided for over-the-counter medications. As a rule, assistance is provided only for long-term, or maintenance medications. Each participant will be limited to apply for only the three (3) most expensive medications which have pharmaceutical assistance programs. We look forward to assisting you.
