Volunteer Nursing Home Ombudsman Volunteers are needed to visit local area Nursing and Assisted Living Facility staff and residents. Volunteers receive 40 hours of training on the Aging Network, Texas Health and Human Services requirements, and complaint resolution. The goal of the Ombudsman Program is to help provide the best possible quality of life for residents in a long term care facility. The volunteer works under the direction of the Regional Ombudsman and has all the resources of the Ombudsman office for support. We make a difference one resident at a time.
