The Capital Area Initiatives Foundation, Inc. (CAIF) was incorporated as a Texas nonprofit corporation in 1999 and received the designation as a 501(c)(3) organization by the Internal Revenue Service in 2000. The purpose of the CAIF is:

• To provide coordination and cooperation between social service organizations and governments in the Capital Area.
• To sponsor fund raising activities for the benefit of the Capital Area.
• To act as a means of centralized communication between providers and recipients of social services in the Capital Area.
• To promote high standards of care and treatment for those in need of social services in the Capital Area.
• To promote high standards of performance of social service in the Capital Area.
• To encourage broad based participation of citizens, service organizations and state and local government.
• To encourage fair and equitable treatment of all in the Capital Area.
• To assist in the improvements of services provided to those in the Capital Area.

The mission of Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area, to plan, develop and provide a system of services designed to promote independence for persons sixty years or older, is supported by the Capital Area Initiatives Foundation, Inc. Through your support of CAIF you also support the Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area.

You may want to give a donation as a gift to honor someone on a birthday or holiday. Memorials are always welcome. Perhaps you would like to make a donation to the Foundation in honor of someone who was served by the Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area or just in honor of the older adults who have touched your life.
