Due to the expense, oral maintenance is too often neglected. Most benefit programs do not cover the cost of routine exams, denture purchase and maintenance, and extractions. A few programs have been developed to help defer the high cost of dental care. Texas Donated Dental Service Texas Donated Dental Services is a privately funded program administered by (and largely funded by) the Texas Dental Association. Applicants must be over the age of 55 or have a permanent disability. The program matches the patient with a dentist in their area who volunteers their time, services and equipment to those in need. In order to receive eligibility information and wait time quotes, you must first fill out an application and be accepted into the program.
