Community Outreach & Assistance Program

Location Description: Located on the corner of East 6th Street & Chicon.
Hours: Mon - Fri. 8:30 PM - 5:00 PM
Description: Catholic Charities of Central Texas provides community outreach and assistance regarding federal benefits thanks to a grant from The Texas Health & Human Service Commission. Our outreach staff can provide the community a wide array of assistance, ranging from general information about state services to one-on-one assistance in preparing and submitting application materials for state benefits, including

  • Medicaid
  • Food Stamps
  • CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program)
  • TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)
  • Long-Term Care Services
We also provide support and training to community organizations to assist individuals in their community in completing applications for the above mentioned federal benefits programs, as well as participate in local outreach events to inform the public about our services and provide direct application assistance.
Intake Procedure: Please call the outreach worker in your county to schedule an appointment.
